Lower Beeding Village

How has the village changed?

The old village school

Lower Beeding is a small village in West Sussex, lying to the east of Horsham.  It includes most of the area of the former St Leonard's Forest and is surrounded by beautiful Sussex farmland and woodland.  Today the centre of the village is the church, Holy Trinity Church, which was built in 1839.  The school has close connections with the church. Over the years the village has changed in  many ways.  The children enjoy finding out about these changes from a range of sources, including oral accounts from long time residents.  This forms part of our local history studies.

Leonardslee Gardens

A very special place for our school and one of our school families.  This closed to the public in June 2010.  The school marked its closing with a special whole school visit and outdoor assembly.
